I've been involved in photography with SLRs since I was eleven years old and have never lost my fascination and joy with it. There's something special about its blend of art, technology, and personal memories that inspires me. The areas of photography I enjoy the most are landscapes, wildlife, and travel; it's hard for me to imagine a time where I'll lose interest in them.  I'm squarely in the middle between film and digital and happily use both. I'm a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and work as a Program Manager at a large aerospace company, primarily in the areas of satellite and aircraft technology. Fortunate to live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where there are ample opportunities for the photographic subjects I enjoy. Happy and honored to be part of the team.

Nikonians Community Relations Director
Paul Fisher is Nikonians Community Relations Director. Constantly taking its pulse, makes certain the membership is well served, policies are maintained, that no questions go unanswered
, communicating important news and in general overseeing Nikonians community quality standards, always in search for improvements.

I'm Paul Fisher. I started photography in the mid 1970s with a Rolleiflex SL35. I was an obsessive photographer for some years until the pressures of work and family gradually made me devote my attention to other things. A couple of years ago I bought my first Nikon (a F60), joined Nikonians and I've never looked back. I have a beautiful and understanding wife and four lovely daughters. I live in Perth, Western Australia, where I work as a civil engineer.

Nikonians Contests Director
Chris Gray organizes the Nikonians Photo Contests, makes certain they run smoothly and are of interest to community members.

I'm Chris Gray from Winnipeg, Canada. At age 53 Nikonians was responsible for me taking up the hobby of photography. The last five years with Nikonians have been a gratifying experience. Meeting other Nikonians has been a benefit without words. I am married to a wonderful lady who is also a Nikonian and my business partner. Together we own a Security Products Distribution company.

Photography, specifically photography with Nikon gear, has been a part of my life for over 30 years, starting with my first Nikkormat FTn in 1969. After joining the U.S. Marine Corps I came to realize that the Nikon camera brand was an extension of my wish to be a part of an elite team. Photojournalism at the US Marine Corps was my life. Retired in 1990, I worked as a weekly PJ for a newspaper next to a large Marine Corps Air Station. Found Nikonians by sheer accident and have been hooked since. Then Nikonians found me. It is a pleasure to be a member of this team.

Nikonians Academy Director

Mike Hagen is responsible for our formal education program in North America, soon expanding on the other side of the pond. By providing excellent content, hiring top class instructors and developing sound strategy for growth, he has made possible for Nikonians to offer exciting workshops at a location near you.

With a diverse background of engineering, corporate management and successful private enterprises including some of my own, after working in the high tech semiconductor area for a decade, I resigned to pursue photography full time with my wife Stephanie - the reason for our success. Since working with Nikonians over the last few years I have found the community to be positive and enthusiastic. The founders and I share the same work ethic and philosophies: we all work hard to provide the very best product possible and give members more than they asked for. This is a recipe for success and I am proud to build up the Nikonians Academy along those same lines. Very glad to be onboard with this great team.
